The need
A large and well-known UK hotel chain wanted to reduce water consumption across its estate.
The obvious high-cost solution they wanted to avoid was the full refurbishment of every bathroom to replace the sink taps, bath taps and shower heads with expensive low-flow alternatives.
The solution
Akro supplied water-saving control valves that can be retrofitted to any sink tap, bath tap and shower head.
The valves are self-regulating and maintenance-free, require no adjustments to the existing taps and can be retro-fitted to 15mm and 22mm copper pipe with guaranteed fixed flow for 15+ years.
The water-saving valves were fitted with 5LPM control rubbers, reducing the water consumption at each outlet, in every bathroom, by 50%.
