How do our Water & Energy Conservation Valves work?
The Maric Flow Control Rubber is at the heart of the flwo control valve, the diameter of the rubber orifice responds automatically to pressure fluctuations, adjusting to maintain a constant flow rate. As pressure differential increases, the orifice diameter reduces to maintain the pre-set flow rate. Likewise, as pressure reduces the orifice automatically opens up to maintain the pre-set, constant flow rate, regardless of pressure variations. As the rubber is constantly flexing within the valve body it is self-cleaning and does not clog.
Easy to retro-fit and maintenance free
As the UK Government and building regulations recommends using six litres per minute (LPM) for hand washing and nine litres per minute for showers, these valves are a perfect retro-fit to washbasins, kitchen taps, showers, drinking fountains, toilet cisterns or any water supply or outlet.
They are proven to work:
- To prevent splash back in hand basins from over-supply.
- For showers to prevent scalding or freezing when someone else uses too much hot or cold water in the house.
- To balance the water flow in multi-storey buildings and prevent "water starvation" on higher floors
- For toilet cisterns to prevent a potential "continuous flush" if the fill rate is too fast.
They are self-regulating and maintenance free, require no adjustments, can be retro-fitted to 15mm and 22mm copper pipe and have a guaranteed fixed flow for 15+ years.
