About Us

Our Story

Experts in flow control valves and water conservation

Established in 1983, our family-run business specialises in the manufacture and supply of water conservation and distribution valves, and equipment. We are the sole UK and Ireland distributor of the Maric Flow Control systems; the valve that maintains a constant flow rate regardless of pressure. This brilliantly simple technology enables our clients to drastically reducing water usage, improving efficiencies and helps them protect installations from excessive flow rates. The result is more efficient water systems, less non-revenue water loss and lower systems’ maintenance costs. In addition to the production of flow valves, we also have a whole range of ancillary water and energy-saving fixtures, fittings and tools.

Tailored to meet your specifications

Our technology can benefit a wide range of sectors including water and wastewater, agriculture, mining, fire control, and process industries. We offer a consultancy service, using our experience to identify the best engineering solutions for you. Helping you select the right valve, size, material and flow rate.

Developing valves to support water conservation

Akro Valve continues to develop its credentials in water-saving technologies, joining in partnership with several international aid agencies. We have developed the water distribution tap stand, with the robust water-saving Akro Quick Stop tap.

We are also an East Sussex Industry Champion, supporting engineering outreach and engineering education programmes in schools across the county.
