Our Quick-Stop tap has found a new application – as a donkey proof tap!
The UK charity MAF, that was working in a remote village in Chad, found that our tap was perfect in preventing water being stolen by the resourceful village donkeys who had learnt to turn on the traditional bib-style (garden) taps at the village water well to help themselves to a drink.
The donkeys had worked out how to turn on the taps for a drink, but not how to turn them off, and regularly drained the village water storage tank.
The Quick-Stop tap by design can’t be left running, so the people of this particular village were able to save their precious water.
